I never fully realized, until much later in life, the importance of what my father taught me when he showed me how to drive a car at the age of fifteen. It was many years later that I recognized the significance of what he meant by what he called GOING ON A NOWHERE. What my father was actually teaching me was how to behave in life in a way which benefits other people. He was telling me: “Don’t make the mistake that others make; don’t be like everybody else.” My question was: how do I avoid doing what everybody else does when I don’t know how everybody else behaves?
